Description
Truth's newest blend, Black Honey, is a unique and sweet coffee that has been highly successful in achieving its goal of creating a blend focused on sweetness. When brewed correctly, it has a juicy, fruity, and sweet taste with a mellow acidity. The coffee has apple flavors with a stone fruit finish, similar to unfiltered apple juice and plum. It is recommended to try this blend in a syphon, French press, Moka pot, or espresso, with the best results found in the syphon. The beans used in this blend come from the Urrutia Family in the Shalaitu area of Comasagua, Ethiopia, and are processed using the Red Honey method. The altitude of the beans is 2,100 masl, while the altitude of the area is 1,100 masl.
Black Honey is Truth's newest blend, and it's quite a unique one. With this coffee, our friends at Truth were aiming to create a blend that was all about sweetness in the cup, and they really have succeeded. When brewed as espresso or in immersion brewers just right, it's juicy, fruity and deliciously sweet, yet with a surprisingly mellow acidity.
Most of our brews had wonderful apple flavours to enjoy, a bit like cloudy unfiltered apple juice, with a stone fruit finish that may remind you of plum. We had the absolute best results in our syphon, but we'd highly recommend giving it a try in a French press, Moka pot or espresso as well. The baristas at Truth HQ make particularly juicy espressos with this coffee!
